Expanding the Yelp and ChatGPT Partnership
Earlier, Yelp and OpenAI established a content integration partnership that surfaced Yelp reviews, ratings, photos, and essential business information directly within ChatGPT responses. Building upon this foundation, Yelp announced a major expansion that integrates Yelp Reservations and Waitlist capabilities straight into the AI platform.
Streamlining Local Dining and AI Search
The integrated booking flow allows users to ask for recommendations, choose a venue, and finalize their plans in a single chat session. The comprehensive booking process handles party size, date and time, contact details, special requests, and final confirmation. Furthermore, users can modify existing reservations directly through Yelp after booking. Highlighting its market position, Yelp noted in its press release that it remains the most cited home services discovery platform, boasting a 3.4x lead in citations over its nearest competitor across major AI platforms.
