Marvel Studios has officially announced the highly anticipated main cast for its upcoming X-Men cinematic reboot during the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. Directed by Jake Schreier and slated for release on May 5, 2028, the film will position mutants as a cornerstone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga.
Meet the New Generation of Mutants
The stellar lineup features Christopher Abbott taking on the iconic role of Professor Charles Xavier, while Sadie Sink steps in as Jean Grey following her introduction in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Kit Connor has been confirmed as Cyclops, and Samara Weaving joins the mutant roster as Emma Frost. Additional breakout castings include Inde Navarrette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm.
The Main Villain and MCU Integration
In a major casting surprise, Adam Driver will portray the primary antagonist, Mr. Sinister, bringing one of Marvel’s most enduring villains into the cinematic fold.
