During Monterey Car Week, British luxury carmaker Aston Martin officially revealed its newest masterpiece: the Aston Martin Valen. Limited to just 150 units worldwide with a starting price of USD $2 million, this ultra-exclusive supercar packs a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine engineered by the brand’s bespoke Q by Aston Martin division and the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) department. Delivering a staggering 838 horsepower (625 kW) and 738 pound-feet (1,000 Nm) of torque, the Valen claims the title of the most powerful front-engined production car currently on sale and the most potent front-engined vehicle in Aston Martin‘s 113-year history.
Radical Carbon-Fiber Weight Loss and Track-Ready Performance
Engineered to dominate both the road and the track, the Aston Martin Valen underwent a rigorous weight-saving diet, shedding up to 243 pounds (110 kg) compared to traditional V12 models. This was achieved through an extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium. The car rockets from a standstill to 60 mph in a blistering 3.0 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds), paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronically limited top speed of 214 mph (345 km/h). Drivers can harness this immense rear-wheel-drive power via three distinct drive modes: Sport, Sport+, and Track.
Aggressive Styling and Bespoke Exhaust Symphony
Aesthetically, the Valen moves away from the design language of its predecessors like the Valour and Valiant, featuring sharper, squintier front headlights and a dramatic, Lamborghini-like rear end accented by a bespoke 3D-printed quad titanium exhaust system. Finished in a gorgeous Satin Andromeda Red, the interior mirrors this aggressive aesthetic with exposed carbon fiber and personalized upholstery options. Deliveries for the 150-unit production run are officially scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
