A tragic “violent incident” at a secondary school in Gosen-Neu Zittau, located just outside Berlin, has resulted in the deaths of two people on Thursday. Local public broadcaster RBB and regional news outlets confirmed that an 18-year-old female student and a 30-year-old man lost their lives during the event.
According to reports from the Märkische Allgemeine newspaper, police have arrested a 19-year-old male suspect who is believed to be the ex-boyfriend of the young victim. The 30-year-old victim reportedly died while bravely attempting to intervene and protect the student.
